Tim Ralph Miller Obituary

Tim Miller was born in Pekin, Illinois on February 13th, 1948.  He lived in Pekin with his parents, Merna and Ed, and his brother Bob until he left his beloved Pekin for college, first at Parsons College (1966), and then at the University of Denver in Colorado (1968) where he met his wife Patricia. They married in 1971 and had a daughter, Katrina Leigh, in 1977.  He went on to receive his Masters from the University of Wyoming and his PhD. from the University of Utah.  Tim excelled in his profession as a Professor of Political Science at Northwest Community College (Powell, Wyoming) and at the University of Arkansas, and subsequently as a Professor of Public Administration at Sangamon State University (now the University of Illinois Springfield).  He will be remembered for his deep love of his family and friends, for his annual pool tournament, for faithfully following the flat track motorcycle racing circuit, for his obsession for college sports and sports gambling, for enjoying rock & roll and country Western concerts, for constantly quoting Charles Bukowski’s poetry and prose, and for the countless hours he spent watching Westerns, classics, and other obscure movies.  He will be greatly missed.
