Maurice Louis Meier

Maurice L. "Mic" Meier was born July 25, 1926 in St. Marys PA.  He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.  He was a mentor to his children and grandchildren taking an active interest in their educations and careers.
Mic passed away peacefully on Sunday March 27, 2022 with his beloved wife Louise at his side.  He was born to father George Meier and mother Bertha Eberl.  He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Gerald Meier, and sister Corinne Alphonso.  He is survived by his wife Louise Meier, one daughter Christine (Floyd), five sons, David (Deborah), Jeffrey (Linda), Clifford (Tammy), Douglas (Louise), and Russell.  Also surviving are eleven grandchildren; Joanna (David), Zachary (Amanda), Andrew (Katelyn), Jessie, Kaitlyn (Michael), Nicholas (Alyssa), Joseph, Shane, Benjamin, Chad, and Hunter.  Mic was also blessed with fourteen great grandchildren and just loved keeping track of the current number in his growing family.
Mic enlisted in the Army Air Core at the age of 17 training as a pilot.  At the end of the war he used his GI benefits to go to college graduating from CSU with an engineering degree.  Mic worked his whole life at STV Incorporated in Pottstown PA retiring as president in 1989.  For 37 years Mic talked to Louise about moving to Colorado, so in 1989 they came west and settled in Larkspur.  Mic and Louise enjoyed many years of golf and great friends at Perry Park Country Club.
