Julie Hancock Obituary

Julie Marie Hancock, 82, of Monument, Colorado, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2026, surrounded by family.

Born on May 25, 1944, in Margaretville, New York, Julie was the beloved daughter of Joseph and Rose Flanagan. Throughout her life, she was known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering compassion for others.

Julie worked for Corcoran and Associates of Wallingford, CT for 45 years, retiring at the age of 80. She earned the respect of colleagues and clients alike. Outside of her career, she embraced an active life and found great joy in boating, biking, and cross-country skiing.

Above all, Julie's greatest pride was her family. She treasured every moment spent with her brothers, sisters, parents, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends, welcoming everyone with warmth, laughter, and an open heart.

Julie is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa and Randy Simonoff & Carrie and Joseph Villar. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Jessica Karle, Nicole Lifshatz, Sarah Dansereau, Brynna Simonoff, Jeffrey Simonoff, Benjamin Simonoff, Emily St. Amand, and Evan St. Amand; and her beloved great-grandchildren: Hailey Karle, Hunter Karle, Holden Karle, Olivia Lifshatz, and Lyla Lifshatz. In addition she leaves her brothers and sisters Joseph Flanagan, Roseanne Witkowski, Kathleen Flanagan, Robert Flanagan, and Jeanne Curtis.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Rose Flanagan; her brother, Bertram Flanagan; her sister, Mary Flanagan; Robert Hancock and her longtime partner, Joseph Tomasello.

Those who knew Julie will remember her for her genuine kindness, infectious laughter, and remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome and included. Her love and kindness touched countless lives. Her memory will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Peter's Chapel, 155 Jefferson Street, Monument, CO 80132. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Colorado Springs. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The American Cancer Society or Feeding America in honor of Julie Hancock.

Julie will be deeply missed and forever loved by her family, friends, and all whose lives she enriched.
