Judith Conser Obituary

Judith Irene Pack Conser, 81, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away at home while surrounded by family on July 13, 2026. Born on August 20, 1944, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Judy lived a life defined by warmth, generosity, and an unwavering devotion to her husband, children and grandchildren.
After graduating high school and business college, her fatherís military service took her to White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico where she would meet her future husband, Charlie.  They married on May 23, 1964, beginning a partnership that lasted 62 years. A variety of military assignments at far flung duty stations ended with Charlieís retirement from the Army at Fort Carson Colorado in 1980.  The couple stayed in Colorado Springs, where Judy continued building a fulfilling career as an office manager and administrator for Affiliated Inventors Foundation before retiring in 2000.
Judy always had a smile and a hug for everyone she met. She was a talented seamstress who designed and sewed some award-winning race crew uniforms; who lovingly created handmade Christmas decorations and stockings, and she carried on a cherished tradition of preparing holiday candies from recipes passed down by her mother-in-law, Kathryn.  Her husband, son, and grandson were all involved in local motorsports and Judy became affectionately known at all the tracks as the "cookie lady" for the homemade chocolate chip cookies she brought to share with everyone.
Her spirit of service extended well beyond her home. As a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Judy served faithfully as a greeter, many other ministries, and administration of the Meal Train program, ensuring that members of her congregation were nourished and cared for during times of need. Her faith was a quiet, steady force in her life, and she lived it out through acts of kindness both large and small.
Judy was a skilled amateur photographer who used her photos to build many scrapbooks of family activities,†as well as her daughter Katyís gymnastics and her son†Glennís motorsports events.††After many years of military moves†and then settling in†Colorado Springs, Judy became an avid fan†of, and collector of sports memorabilia for,†the Denver Broncos, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche, Colorado Rockies, and the Air Force Academy ice hockey and football programs.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn Hayes Pack and Irene Rose Pack, son Danny and grandson Cody Ballard. She is survived by her beloved husband, Charles Conser; her daughter, Katy Basu and husband Amit; her son, Glenn Conser and wife Desare; and grandchildren Neha Basu, Anand Basu, and Ryan Ballard.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, August 20, which would have been Judy's 82nd birthday, at 2:30 p.m. at Calvary United Methodist Church, 4210 Austin Bluffs Parkway, Colorado Springs, CO 80918.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief). Donations made through Calvary United Methodist at https://www.calvary-umc.org/page/give-umcor-for-judy-conser will be dedicated in Judy's memory.
