James William Szymanski Obituary

James William Szymanski
With great sadness, we announce the passing of James William Szymanski,
who left us on November, 26 2025 at the age of 64.

Jim was an amazing husband and father. Family was his number one priority
in life. He loved planning and taking trips with his family. We will forever
remember his infectious laugh, sense of humor, charisma, bright blue eyes
and his unforgettable smile.

James William Szymanski was born in Jeanette, Pennsylvania on September
26, 1961. During Jim’s elementary school years, his family moved to Los
Angeles, California. He attended middle school and high school in the Santa
Clarita Valley. After high school, Jim attended College of the Canyons and
then went on to study Business Administration at California State University
Long Beach. He put himself through college while working as a bartender at
the Rusty Pelican restaurant in Newport Beach. After college, he began his
career in air filtration. He worked as a sales representative for 30 plus years
before starting his own company in air filtration sales.

In 1980, at the age of 19, Jim met the love of his life, Debbie. Jim was
Debbie’s high school sweet heart. Their love for each other was a lifelong
bond, that few are blessed to find and was evident to all who knew them.
Jim and Debbie married in 1986. Their first home was in Huntington Beach,
California. They moved to Fountain Valley, California in 1988. A job
promotion in 1990 took them to Scripps Ranch, San Diego. During their time
in Scripps Ranch, they grew their family with the arrival of their daughter,
Hanna Rose in 1994 and Eric James in 1996. In 2000, they moved their
family to Ramona, California where they lived until relocating to the beautiful
community of Monument, Colorado in 2016.

Those who knew Jim, knew how much joy he found in tending to his yard,
proudly displaying his rugged, hard working hands that reflected his
dedication to his craft. He enjoyed planning family vacations, especially trips
to Puerto Vallarta. Jim spent many years coaching Eric’s soccer teams and
dancing with Hanna in the annual Daddy-Daughter recital. He was also an
avid Notre Dame football fan and always looked forward to watching the
games with his family (Go Irish!).

Jim will always be remembered for his outgoing personality, charm, humor
and the fierce love and protection of his family. We couldn’t have asked for a
better husband, father, son, son-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and
friend.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Debbie; his children, Hanna
Szymanski and Eric Szymanski; his mother, Louise Szymanski; his brother,
William Szymanski (Crystal); his sister, Jennifer Gearheart; his mother-in-
law, Ann Henry; his sister’s-in-law, Rosie Hansen (Scott) and Laura Yula and
brother-in-law, Patrick Henry (Louisa) along with his nieces and nephews.

Jim was predeceased by his sister, Cynthia Hogan; his grandmothers, Ann
Nasser and Lorraine Bardwell; his father-in-law, Patrick Henry Sr.; his aunt,
Phyllis Crise and nephew, Nolan Lemar.

We love you and miss you. You will forever be in our hearts. Rest in peace.
