Helen Anna Stevens Obituary

Stevens - Gountanis Anne, 81, was born on November 11, 1940 in Pendleton, Oregon and passed away peacefully on February 4, 2022 at her home in Monument, Colorado. 

Anne had a real passion for flying. She received her private pilot's license, airliner transport and flight instructor certification. Anne was hired by Northwest Airlines as an instructor for the DC-9, MD80, B27, B747 and the B757. She also authored a training manual "Programing the Flight Management Computer", which is used by several universities. 

Anne was very service minded. She was a member of the Sertoma and Kiwanis club as well as a board member of the Woodmoor improvement association and architectural control committee 

Anne is survived by her husband of 30 years Bob Gountanis, son Richard Stevens, brothers John Bakkensen of Littleton and Ralph Bakkensen of Boston.
