Barbara A. Patterson, (92), of Colorado Springs, CO died peacefully at her home on July 22, 2026.

Barbara was born on February 19, 1934 to Charles E. Chandler and Dorothy E. Chandler in East Lansdowne, PA.

Barbara loved gardening and possessed a “green thumb”. In her later years the garden became her getaway - a sanctuary of love and peace.

She also had a unique talent for transforming spaces in the home (usually with early American furniture) into works of art and could have been a top-notch interior decorator.

Barbara (Bobbie) and her husband Michel (Mike) were high school sweethearts and were married on May 18,1955. They bought a home in Lansdowne, PA where they raised their family before moving to Colorado Springs, CO.

Barbara is survived by her 3 children: Mike (Bernadette), Liz (Jim) and Jennifer (Kevin); 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren whom she adored - and 2 more on the way.

Family was incredibly important to Barbara as she lost both of her parents at a young age.

Predeceased by her husband, Mike, her parents, Charles (Charlie) and Dorothy (Dot) and her twin sisters, Irene and Karen.

Barbara was a dedicated wife and an “at home” mother.

Barbara loved her “mountain” home in the Poconos and fun-filled times spent with family and friends at Arrowhead Lakes.

She also enjoyed spending summers in Ocean City, NJ with her entire family. She was not a swimmer, but everyone was overjoyed when she would tempt fate to enter the ocean wearing a suit, bathing cap and by sitting on an oversized truck tire.

In keeping with her wishes, Barbara will be cremated and her ashes kept in a simple pewter and flower urn until they are moved (along with her husband’s ashes) to Arlington Cemetery in Drexel Hill, PA.
